N.D. (KFGO Radio) North Dakota State University Football coach Craig Bohl says the 8 bison football players charged with petition fraud won’t be suspended, at least for now.

Bohl says he was notified several weeks ago by the attorney General’s office that the players were under investigation by the state crime bureau but he learned today they had been charged.

The players facing charges are Aireal Boyd, Marcus Williams, Brendin Pierre, Josh Colville, Sam Ojuri, Antonio Rodgers, Bryan Shepard and Demetrius Gray. Former player Josh Gatlin is also charged. Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says many of the signatures were copied from phone books or simply made up.
