ND (NewsDakota.com)  The Carrington Cardinals traveled to Langdon tonight for a match against the Langdon-Munich Cardinals.  Last year Langdon finished third in the Region, Carrington finished second, so both teams knew it was going to be a hard fought battle.  The match started 25 minutes late due to Carrington getting caught in road construction.

Langdon-Munich won the match 3-2.  (25-17, 21-25, 14-25, 25-23, 10-15)

The first match went to Carrington 25-17.  Madison Wendel had 4 kills.  The next two matches went to Langon-Munich 25-21, 25-14.  Madison Wendel had 5 kills for Carrington in match number two.  In a close 4th match, Carrington came out on top 25-23.  In the 5th, Langdon hung on and defeated Carrington 15-10.  Abbey Braaten for Langdon-Munich won the match with an ace.  Langdon-Munich won the 5th match with 8 straight points.

Abbey Braaten led in kills with 24 for Langdon-Munich, Madison Wendel had 17 kills for Carrington.  Jose Page had 10 assists for Carrington.  Brianna Barton had two aces for Carrington and Abbey Braaten had 4 for Langdon.

Carrington goes to 6-1 on the season, Langdon-Munich goes to 1-1.

Next up for Carrington is Thursday night in Carrington vs Jamestown JV at 7p.  That match will be heard on AM 1600 KDAK.
