CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Authorities arrested 44-year-old John Stanley of Tower City and charged him with “Theft of Property” after he allegedly failed to deliver material and services as a contractor.

Barnes County Chief Deputy Don Fiebiger says the incident stems from a construction project at a church in Fingal. The amount of money allegedly taken under false pretense was more than $9,000.

Fiebiger says 2 other “Theft of Property” cases under investigation include a construction project in Griggs County and another one in Cass County. Stanley had his state contractor license suspended earlier this year.
