(NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals knew they had their work cut out for them against Dickinson Trinity Friday Night.  But who knew it would take overtime to make the final decision, Trinity defeated Carrington 25-24 in overtime in AA Football last night.  Carrington drops to 1-1, Trinity improves to 2-1.

In the first quarter, Ben Gordon of the Titans  threw a 19 yard pass to Isiah Binstock making it 6-0.  Then in the second, Casey Murphy ran it in for a 6 yard touchdown run, the extra point was no good making it 6-6 at the half.

Then in the fourth quarter, both teams scored twice.  Cole Hendrickson threw for two touchdowns, a 25 yard touchdown pass to Alex Nelson, and a 55 yard pass to Seth Abaurrea.  Making it 18-18 at the end of regulation.

In OT, Trinity scored a touchdown with an extra point, Carrington scored as well, but decided to go for two, and came up short, making it 25-24 for the final score.

Next up for Carrington is on Saturday  September 15th at Bismarck against St. Marys at 6pm.  That game will be heard on AM 1600 KDAK.
