WI (NewsDakota.com)- Jamestown College never recovered from a messy first half, unfortunately UW-Stout was able to rebound and routed the Jimmies 31-0.

The first half was muddled with punts, turnovers and just one touchdown. Stout scored with 7:36 left in the second quarter after an 85-yard catch and run by Trevor Mourning set them up inside the Jimmie five-yard line.

That was the only touchdown of what was otherwise a pretty uneventful first half, 12 punts and five turnovers sprinkled through the first 30 minutes. There was even a stretch with three turnovers in four plays.

In the second half, the Blue Devils rolled through the Jimmie offense to the tune of 308 yards and 24 points. Jamestown College had just 79 yards when Stout pulled their starters with a 24-0 lead.

Jamestown goes to 0-3 on the season. They will host South Dakota Mines next Saturday at Rollie Greeno Field.
