CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Work on the 9th Avenue reconstruction project is on pace to be completed before the construction season ends this fall.

Project manager Chad Pedersen says motorists will soon be able to use 9th avenue northwest from main to 2nd street northwest to access area businesses on that street later this week.

Pedersen says underground work north of 2nd street northwest will be in full swing next week. The first phase of the project is expect to be completed this fall up to 4th street northwest with the remaining stretch to start next spring in Valley City.
