(NewsDakota.com)- All three sets were seesaw affairs until the end when Jamestown asserted there strength and took the points that mattered most. They swept the match in three taking down Bismarck High.

The Jays jumped out in the first set taking a 25-21 win. They overcame a 4-point lead by the Demons winning eight of the next 10 points to take control.

In the second set, Jamestown trailed 24-22 before rattling off four straight to win that set. Josie Hegerle’s service ace tied the game at 24-24.

Back and forth third set was dominated down the stretch by the Jays who opened up a 24-17 lead before winning 25-18.

Addie Eamon lead Jamestown with 12 kills. Siri Jystad finished with nine. Hegerle added eight.

The back row play was a bright spot for the Jays, after some struggles last week McKayla Orr was back in form with 22 digs. Her younger sister Megan added 21.

Jamestown improves to 10-4. They aren’t done this week, on Thursday they will host St. Mary’s before hitting the road for Williston on Friday.
