(NewsDakota.com)  The Carrington Cardinal volleyball team has been on a roll, sweeping both Dakota Prairie and Harvey/Wells County this week in Carrington.  On Tuesday, the Cards swept Dakota Prairie 3-0, and tonight they swept the Hornets 3-0.  Carrington improves to 17-3 overall, 2-0 in District 7 play.

On Tuesday, Carrington defeated Dakota Prairie 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-10).  Josey Page, Kayla Hochhalter and Hannah Lipetzky had four serving aces a piece.  Digs were led by Hannah Lipetzky  with five, Josey Page and Amy Smith added two each.  Madison Wendel had three stuff blocks and seven kills, followed by Page Anderson with five kills and Breana Barton with four kills.

Tonight against Harvey/Wells County, Carrington came out on top 3-0 as well (25-19, 25-10, 25-7).  In the first set, 5’9 SR Briana Barton had two kills including the last one of the set to finish it off.  The Cards served 88%, Madison Wendel had 6 aces.

Set two, Briana Barton had four aces.  14 kills total as a team and served 100%, 23 of 23.

Overall for the Cards, they had 36 kills, led by Kayla Hochhalter with 11.  14 service aces, Briana Barton had 5. 

Next up for Carrington, is Midkota in Carrington on Tuesday, September 25th at 7p.  That match will be heard on KDAK AM 1600 in Carrington.
