CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner volleyball team hosts Devils Lake in a must-have match tonight.

Both teams are looking for their first win in Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) play.  The winner will have an advantage a host spot in the EDC play-in round, and will keep chances of avoiding the play-in alive.

The Hi-Liners improved their overall record to 6-9 Tuesday night with a win over Maple Valley.  They are 0-4 in EDC play, having played only two matches in the league, but both worth two league wins.  They were swept by Fargo Shanley, then dropped a 3-2 decision to Fargo Davies, the top two teams in the league.

Devils Lake is 0-10 in EDC play, and 2-11 overall, with wins over Williston and Belcourt at the East-West Crossover.  They have lost eight straight matches, including sweeps to Fargo South, Davies, North, Shanley, West Fargo, and Red River in the EDC.  They were topped 3-1 by Grand Forks Central.

Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.
