OAKES (NewsDakota.com) It’s a battle of the number one team in District 1 volleyball against the last place team in the district Thursday evening in Oakes, as the Tornadoes battle Wyndmere-Lidgerwood.

Oakes sits alone at the top of the standings, with a 3-0 start; thanks to victories over F-C-T, Lisbon and Hankinson. Wyndmere-Lidgerwood has started their play in District 1 with three losses; to North Sargent, Sargent Central and Milnor.
