CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Farmers and Ranchers or anyone with an interest in Agriculture! Who has made a major impact on your operation or agriculture in North Dakota? If you know of anyone, nominations are being sought for the North Dakota Agricultural Hall of Fame.

The selection committee of the North Dakota Agricultural Hall of Fame is asking the public for candidate suggestions for the 2013 ND Ag Hall of Fame Inductees. Either organizations or individuals may nominate candidates and the deadline for nominations is December 1, 2012.

The North Dakota Agricultural Hall of Fame is a statewide organization that recognizes those people who have made a meaningful contribution to the state’s agricultural industry.

Individuals are eligible to be nominated if they satisfy at least two of three requirements:

  1. At least 45 years old
  2. Retired from an agricultural related career
  3. Accumulated at least 20 years of service to the agriculture industry in North Dakota.

 

The permanent home for the state’s Agricultural Hall of Fame, which was established by the state legislature during their 1997 session, is at the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City.  The display is available for viewing at both the NDWS Event Center and the Rosebud Visitor’s Center in Valley City.

The new inductees will be chosen in December and then honored during a ceremony which will take place at the North Dakota Winter Show, on Saturday March 9, 2013.
