(NewsDakota.com) A small grain dryer fire was quickly contained at Columbia Grain in Crete on Tuesday evening.

The Oakes Fire Department and Oakes Ambulance responded a little after 7 p.m., and assisted in the complete extinguishment of the small blaze. Workers at Columbia Grain were able to put the flames down before the crews from Oakes arrived on scene.

The grain dryer that caught fire at Columbia Grain in Crete on Tuesday night received little damage.

The crews remained on scene for a little more than a half hour, and no injuries were reported.
