(NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinal football team traveled north to play AA West Opponent Bottineau Braves.  Carrington came out with a win beating the Braves 20-7.  The Cards improve to 3-2 in the Division, 4-2-1 overall.  Bottineau drops to 0-5 in the Division, 2-5 overall.

Both teams scored in the first half, Carrington’s Seth Abaurrea ran it in from 19 yards out in the first quarter making it 6-0 Cards.  Then Bottineau’s Jesse Klebe had a 74 yard touchdown run in the second quarter making it 7-6 at the half.

Then it was all Carrington in the second half, Casey Murphy threw to Alex Nelson for a 30 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, the two point conversion was good making it 14-7 Carrington.  Carrington also had a 66 yard interception return for a touchdown as time expired in the fourth quarter making it 20-7 Carrington.

Carrington had 144 totals yards rushing.
