NEW ENGLAND, N.D. (KFGO News) – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is heading up the investigation into an armed bank robbery in the southwestern North Dakota town of New England.

Two men, one with a sawed-off shotgun, held up American Bank Center at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning. A second man was armed with a large revolver.

There was one employee in the bank at the time.

The alleged robbers ordered the teller to place cash into a black laptop bag, then ran into an alley where they may have been picked up by a man driving a dark green or gray compact pickup, possibly a Ford Ranger.
