(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmie volleyball team and men’s soccer team have received the AII automatic bids to the NAIA National Tournament.

The volleyball team will play Saturday at Carroll College (Mont.) in the opening round. The Jimmies will need to win to advance to the final 24 to be played the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, IA.

The top-11 seeds and Morningside (IA), who is hosting, receive byes into the pool play round to start November 27th.

The Jimmies defeated Mayville State in five sets during the semi-finals to earn a National Tournament bid. The top-two teams in the AII are awarded a trip to nationals. It is the second trip to Nationals in the history of the Jamestown College volleyball program.

The soccer team needed to win the AII to make a trip to Nationals and they did so with a program altering 3-0 win over No. 15 Ashford. With the win the Jimmies not only will make a trip to Nationals but they were ranked in the Top-25 for the first time in program history at No. 24 in the final poll.

The brackets for the NAIA Soccer Tournament have not yet been released. Jamestown College is 15-4-1 on the season.
