North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple who has operated a farm near Casselton for decades says it’s nice to see this type of investment by John Deere that will have a positive economic impact in the state and region.

The factory makes air seeders and tillage equipment and has about 325 employees. John Deere company officials say 50 to 100 new jobs are expected to be hired with this expansion.

The new 100,000-square-foot addition will be north of the existing facility and should be completed in 2014.
