(NewsDakota.com)- Another week, another Jamestown College athlete named to the Association on Independent Institution player of the week. Mark Hoge becomes the 10th Jimmie given the honor, they had just 11 all of last year.

Hoge led the Jimmies to a win over Trinity Bible and near upset of No. 7 William Penn. He fouled out with just under a minute remaining with 29 points as the Jimmies faltered down the stretch, allowing the Statemens to erase a six-point deficit in the final minutes. The 6’3″ junior from Crosby, MN scored 23 last Tuesday against Trinity Bible.

The Jamestown College women’s basketball remained in the No. 11 spot on the new NAIA Top-25 rankings. They only played once, a win over Trinity Bible, last week. Greg Ulland’s squad is currently 9-1, with their lone loss to No. 8 Northwestern.

Both teams return to action on Saturday at the Civic Center when they will play Dickinson State. The women will tip-off at 4pm followed by the men at 6pm. The game will be on TED FM 98.3/102.7.
