(NewsDakota.com) The Milnor Bison and the Four Winds/Minnewauken Indians will play for the 2013 State Class B Boys Basketball Championship on Saturday night in Minot after winning their semi-final games on Friday.

Milnor 57 LaMoure-Litchville/Marion 54

In the first semi-final, the Loboes from LLM came out with a solid first half, taking a 33-26 lead into the break. However, in half number two the Bison rode on the back of Briton Bussman, who finished with a game high 31 points, and converted on a three point play with just over a minute remaining in regulation to send Milnor back to the title game for the third time in the school’s history.

The Loboes had a chance to tie at the buzzer, but a long three point attempt by Jared Meiklejohn fell short. Anthony Olson lead the way for LLM with 23, while Meiklejohn had 16 in the loss.

Four Winds/Minnewauken 74 Trenton 69

The second semi-final saw the Indians pull away and have a lead as much as 18 points in the third quarter. The Tigers were able to claw their way back, outscoring Four Winds down the stretch 25-19, but it just wasn’t enough at the end.

Austin Longie scored 27 points in the victory. Collin Delorme, who was carried off the court after the Indian’s victory on Thursday night with an apparent knee injury started the game and finished with 16 points. The Tigers had 29 points from Region VIII player of the year Jade Benz; Michael Roadmacher added another 17 points.

In consolation play earlier on Friday, Dickinson Trinity defeated Shiloh Christian 59-51, and Rugby moved past Cavalier 57-42.

The final day of the tournament starts Saturday at 1 p.m. with Shiloh and Cavalier for seventh place, followed by Trinity and Rugby around 3 p.m. for the consolation championship.
