(NewsDakota.com)- Brandon Stahlhut became the first Blue Jay boys golfer to medal since 2007 when he took top honors at Hawktree on Friday. He shot a 78 in the howling winds to help the Jays to a 5th place finish.

The Jays finished with a team score of 345.

Despite a triple-bogey towards the end of his round Stahlhut was still able to hold off the rest of the competition for his first career win.

Jamestown also finished 5th at the Century Invite the next day with a 311. The scores were much lower with the winner Bismarck shooting a 290.

Austin Rene was the Jays highest marker with 75 tied for 10th. Brandon Hart shot a 72, but he was playing for the JV.
