(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School track and field teams competed at the 55th Annual Al Cassell Relays in Jamestown on Saturday.

The Tornado girls finished in sixth place with a team total of 36 points, and were once again lead by a strong showing from the 3200 Meter relay team, as they finished first with a time of 10.31:38. Nicole Warren was first in the Javelin with a throw of 126 feet, and Ali Ptacek was third in the discuss with a throw of 95 feet eight inches.

The boys from Oakes were tenth, with a team total of 23 points.  Keaton Peterson was third in the Javelin with a throw of 158 feet one inch, and Blake Hollingworth was fourth in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 52.24 seconds.

Jamestown won the girls meet, while Fargo North won the boys meet.
