Leah Wolff


Leah Wolff, 95, Jamestown, ND died Thursday July 25, 2013 at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

     Leah Ruff was born December 29, 1917, the daughter of Fred Ruff and Margaret (Enzminger) Ruff. She received her education at the local school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity and helped on the family farm.

     She and Harry Wolff were married August 9, 1936 at Streeter, ND. They made their home in their farm West of Streeter until 1941 when they moved to the farm Southeast of Streeter, ND. They farmed for 50 years until selling the farm and moving into Streeter in February of 1990 for their retirement. Following the death of her husband in 2009, she continued to reside in Streeter. She entered the Ave Maria Village on January 16, 2010.

     She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter.

     She is survived by 3 sons, Clayton, (Beverly) Wolff, Jamestown, ND; LeRoy (Shirley) Wolff, Missoula, MT; Darold (Diane) Wolff, Waverly, IA; 1 daughter, DyeAnna Flowers, Deltona, FL; 8 grandchildren, Wendy, Penny, Kelley, Melodee, Jennifer, Jonathan, Todd, Tami; 16 great grandchildren, Micah, Lucas, Trevor, Lane, Alex, Tyler, Hailey, Troy, Derek, Riley, Quinton, Andrew, Christopher, Daniel, Brandon, Joshua; 2 great great grandchildren, Madison, Kylee; 3 brothers, Walter (Loraine) Ruff, Deer River, MN; Verner (Faye) Ruff, St. Cloud, MN; Harry (Inez) Ruff, Streeter, ND; 1 sister, Ida Enzminger of Jamestown, ND.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Edwin and Anton; 4 sisters, Lydia, Marie, Esther and Naomi.

     The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Monday July 29, 2013 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Streeter, ND with Rev.Hazel Behrens, officiating.

     The interment will be at the Streeter Cemetery in Streeter, ND.

     Visitation: 12-7 Sunday July 28, 2013 at the Funeral Home.

     Prayer Service: 4:00 PM Sunday at the Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.
