N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Chief of Police Scott Edinger and the Jamestown Police Department want to warn Jamestown residents regarding two convicted sex offenders who are living within the city limits of Jamestown.

Mr. James Hanenberg of Jamestown has changed addresses and is living at the Starlite Motel. He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee. He was found guilty for Corrupt/Solicitation of a Minor when he pushed a female minor to the ground and force intercourse with her in 2006.

In 1987, Hannenberg was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition when he engaged forced sexual acts with two girls, ages 3 and 6, over a period of four years. Has admitted to molesting multiple other victims, including boys and girls of various ages.

Mr. Jayme Rowley is now living in the city of Jamestown. His address is 510 16th ST SE. He has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee. He was convicted of gross sexual imposition when he knocked on an apartment door and forced entry into an adult female’s apartment by punching her in the face in 2006. The female fought Rowley off after he had bitten her and gave up. His DNA was found and he was convicted.

In 2004, Rowley was convicted of surreptitious intrusion when he broke into someones apartment and stole a female’s underwear. He then peered into the window of another apartment and said, “Come on,get naked. Let me see your _____”

Both individuals are not wanted by police at this time and is currently serving the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender. Any attempts to do so will result in prosecution.
