August 19th, Nash Finch in conjunction with Hugo’s Family Marketplace, announced the donation of ,000 dollars in donation to the local imagination library.

Nash Finch CEO Alec Covington announced the donation, as well as explaining that the program will serve nearly 800 children in the surrounding area.

First Lady of North Dakota Betsy Dalrymple was also present. She said in a study conducted by Cass and Clay Counties, they have found that Imagination Library works.

“97% of students in the program are encouraged readers. 71% of students in the program have increased parent awareness. And, one of the more surprising ones and my favorite one, 43% of children in the program went from reading once a week to daily.” said Mrs. Dalrymple.
