N.D. (AP) – An emergency dispatcher in Jamestown has been fired after allegedly leaking confidential information about an investigation.

Stutsman County officials allege that Miranda Meisch provided information to a suspect – including the name of the person who complained about suspicious activity at a residence.

County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist says Meisch jeopardized a police investigation and could have put the person who called authorities in danger.

Meisch was put on administrative leave Aug. 12, and was fired Aug. 28 after violating terms of the leave by going out of town. Meisch had been a dispatcher for more than two years.
