(NewsDakota.com)  In a District 7 match-up last night, the Cardinals swept the Rockets 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-15).  Carrington improves to 8-2 overall, New Rockford/Sheyenne drops to 3-6.

Kayla Hochhalter and Madison Wendel had 13 kills each for Carrington.  Wendel also had nine aces.

Rachel Hermanson had two kills, one assist and 10 digs for the Rockets.  Ashley Ystaas had 11 digs, two aces and two kills.

Next up for Carrington is tomorrow at the Valley City Optimist Tourney, starting at 8am with pool play.  There are a total of 24 teams in the tourney, the Cards are in pool D along with Richland, Davies JV and Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page.  Tournament play starts at 12:30pm.
