N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a freezing rain advisory for Stutsman and surrounding counties.

Stutsman as well as Logan, LaMoure, McIntosh and Dickey counties, can expect freezing rain until 10 AM Wednesday morning.

Patchy freezing drizzle across the James River Valley and far south central North Dakota this afternoon will become more widespread through the evening and overnight. Roads and sidewalks will likely become glazed with a thin coating of ice and become slick in locations such as Ellendale, Lamoure, Jamestown, Steele, Ashley and Gackle.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use caution. You are also advised to avoid the use of cruise control on icy roads.
