(NewsDakota.com)  The Class 1A Championship featured the Hazen Bison up against the Milnor-North Sargent Bulldogs.  The Bison won 20-0.  Hazen completes a perfect season with a 12-0 overall record, Milnor-North Sargent drops to 9-3 overall.

The Bulldogs starting the game with a strong drive getting to the 19-yard line of Hazen, but couldn’t get the first down as Senior QB Briton Bussman completed a fourth down pass, but it wasn’t enough for the first down.  Hazen took over and on their first offensive series, they fumbled the ball on their own 27-yard line.  But the Bulldogs couldn’t take advantage, neither team would score in the first quarter.

With about three minutes remaining in the second quarter, the Bison would pound their way up to a first and goal, on 16 plays for 78 yards.  The tough defense of the Bulldogs forced them to a fourth and one, but the Bison would punch it in and get the first touchdown of the game as QB Conner Doll scored from one yard out on a quarterback keeper, the extra point was blocked making it 6-0 Hazen at the half.

In the fourth quarter, Hazen would score twice.  Running back Briar Bornemann would get two rushing touchdowns.  The first one came at the start of the fourth quarter, Bornemann would dive in for the touchdown from inside the five yard line, the second one he would punch it in on fourth and one.

Hazen had 341 yards of total offense, 264 on the ground.  Milnor/North Sargent had 160 yards of total offense, 88 on the ground.
