CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Members of the Valley City Education Association along with the School District’s Superintendent responded to North Dakota Fact Finding Commission Chairman Dean Rummel comments concerning the impasse.

Rummel said both entities were unable to improve one sentence in the union contract that would give a future Health Insurance Committee the latitude to propose change due to the Affordable Care Act in Rummel’s opinion.

Valley City Education Association member and spokesman Dallas Dockter had this response to the comments issued by Chairman Dean Rummel.

Meanwhile Valley City Schools Superintendent Dean Koppelman hopes both sides can get together to form a new Health Insurance Committee to work on settling the medical insurance issue.

Koppelman told newsdakota.com that a special school board meeting will be held Monday, November 25 at 5pm in the administration building board meeting room and not in the Hi Liner Activity Center as previously reported in this story. The public is encouraged to attend.
