(NewsDakota.com)  The Carrington Fire Department responded to several calls over the weekend.  Yesterday about 2pm, the fire department responded to a chimney fire southwest of town.  Two trucks and 14 firefighters were on scene for about an hour.  No damage was reported, the cause remains under investigation.

On Saturday about 6am, Foster County Search and Rescue responded to a report of a lost male about nine miles east of Carrington on Highway 200.  The responders took personal vehicles and ATV’s for the search, the lost person had been missing since 12:30am the night before.  When rescuers found the man about 9:30am, he was driving a pickup truck and ended up getting stuck in a slough, his cell phone was having issues and couldn’t call for help.  No report of injuries, the vehicle was able to stay running and keep the man fairly warm.
