CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) In their  first big test of  Eastern Dakota Conference play, the Hi-Liners fell to  Fargo Davies after late game surge led the Eagles to a 54-49 win at the Hi-Liner Activity Center on Tuesday night.

Defense was utilized by both teams in the contest, as nether side was able to find clear shots at the basket. Despite the strong defensive night, the Eagles would find a way to brake through the stingy full court press of the Hi-Liners in the final two Minutes of the game.

While Valley City’s Dierra Diegel knocked down nearly 20 points, it was no match for the game that Davies’ Alexis Klabo had.  The Eagles junior forward knocked down free throws, drove the lane, and hit shot after shot from around the perimeter totaling 26 points in the game.

The Loss drops the Hi-liners to 1-1 on the early season, while Davies advances to 3-0. The Next game for the Lady Hi-Liners is at the HAC on Saturday, December 14th against Bismarck St. Mary’s.  You can hear the game starting a 2:15pm on 1490AM KOVC.
