N.D (NewsDakota.com) Zach Doty, Reed Beckman, and Mark Miller all had pins on the road at Wahpeton on Tuesday night, but the Valley City grapplers would fall to the Huskies 44-26 in the team score.
The Loss drops the Hi-Liners to 2-3 in the EDC while Wahpeton advances to a conference leading 3-0. Other winners on the day for the Hi-Liners included Jakob Ashline (132 lbs) who won with a tech fall over Jacob Prchal. Jordan Magnuson continued his win streak defeating Josh Deike 5-0 in a decision. The Valley City Sophomore has now won his last 5 matches, a streak that started when he won the Bismarck Rotary Tournament on January 4th.
The Hi-Liners will look to get back to their winning ways when they travel to Grand Forks Red River on Friday January 10th.
