N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library board and administration have been searching for a new site for a new library after the once Essentia location was sold.

The Board and Administrators have been working with Mike Schwarz of Dardis Reality to find a new location for the proposed new library building. Bill Kennedy, a spokesman for the board, released a statement on the progress and deadlines that have been set for the project.

The board has set March 31st, 2014 as a day to finalize the proposed location. They will start a petition to put a 1/4% Sales Tax Initiative on the November 4th general election ballot and start collecting petition signatures by April 30th. If all goes according to plan, groundbreaking will be August 1st, 2015 with the Grand Opening set for September 1st, 2016.
