EDGELEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Edgeley Public Schools are celebrating Reading Month for March.

As part of Reading Month, students PK through 6th grade will have an opportunity to learn about whales. Students will learn in both the classroom and will get to see a full size whale. How will they do that? An inflatable whale has been brought in from the Valley City Area Teacher Center. Made out of plastic sheeting and duct tape, the life size whale was donated to the Teacher Center by the North Dakota Game & Fish Department for schools to use.

Students will be allowed to walk inside of the whale and are asked to bring a flashlight with them so they can read inside the whale.
