(NewsDakota.com) Dawn Osborn has been named as Oakes High School principal.

The Oakes School Board voted in favor of Osborn at a special meeting on Thursday morning. Osborn had been serving as interim High School principal since Thanksgiving after the resignation of Don Warren, who also served as Activities Director.

Osborn has been an educator for the last 21 years, and has been in Oakes the last 10 years as an English teacher and Drama advisor before taking on the interim principal position .

An announcement regarding a permanent Activities Director should be announced in the near future. Currently, Jason Schmitz is serving in an interim capacity.
