CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) North Dakota State University is launching a series of garden programs this spring. NDSU Spring Fever Garden forums will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights March 25 and 27 and April 1 and 3.

Tom Kalb, NDSU Extension Service horticulturist says “this is a great opportunity to learn directly from NDSU experts how to care for your yard and garden.”

Topics include selecting landscape trees, container gardening, selecting flower and vegetable varieties, growing hardy fruits, improving soil and preventing diseases. Specialists will give short presentations and then answer questions.

These live presentations will be broadcast from NDSU in Fargo to more than 40 NDSU Extension Service offices across the state. The offices will have handouts and supporting  information for gardeners.

Including a two hours session in the Barnes County Courthouse basement from 6:30pm to 8:30pm March 25, 27 and April 1, 3. For more information contact your local NDSU Extension Service office.

The forums are free and all gardeners are welcome. Presentations go from 6:30 to 8:30 each evening. For more information and to register, go to www.ag.ndsu.edu/springfever
