(NewsDakota.com)- After a tremendous stretch that saw the University of Jamestown earn an automatic bid into the NAIA national tournament followed by an upset of No. 2 Oklahoma City in 2013, they have picked up right where they left off in 2014. With a record of 13-4 overall and an incredible run of 10-1 in Tucson over spring break, Tom Hager’s crew is receiving votes in the Top-25 poll.

The Jimmies sit eight spots out of the poll as the only school from the Dakotas receiving votes. Faulker (Ala.) is currently the No. 1 team garnering 19 of 20 first place votes. The other first place vote was collected by Oklahoma Baptist.

Jamestown hopes to get back to action on Saturday in Aberdeen taking on new NSAA opponent Presentation College in a four-game weekend set. The Jimmies are slated to open Jack Brown Stadium on April 3rd against longtime rival Valley City State.

VCSU has lost 29 in a row to the Jimmies dating back to April 16th, 2008. If the Jimmies and Vikings games are played as planned you can hear them on 1400 KQDJ and NewsDakota.com.
