CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) After being named to the second team last season, Maple Valley’s Rylee Nudell has moved up the list and earned the first team honor on this year’s Class B girls All-State Team.

In her sophomore season with the Raiders, Nudell, averaged a team high 22 points and 12 rebounds a game. On the court there was never any letting up by the 5-10 forward.  On defense she kept opponents on their toes stealing the ball away just over three times a game.

While the season stats maybe remarkable, Nudell has been consistently good during her tenure with Maple Valley. This season she over took the career scoring record of 1,800 point previously held by her mother, Rhonda Nudell. The new mark at Maple Valley is 1,939 points and growing.

Nudell and the Raiders finished 22-3 this season, and claimed third place in the Region 1 girls’ basketball tournament. The Raiders will return four of five starters to the court from last year’s team. Abbie Tinjum was the lone senior on this year’s Maple Valley squad.
