N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Renaissance Recycling Center and the Chamber City Beautification committee are teaming up to observe Earth Day 2014.

Those that recycle and friends of recycling will be served free hot dogs and beverages from 9 AM to 2 PM Saturday, April 26th at the Recycling Center. There will also be drawings for door prizes. The center is owned and operated by Ralph Friebel and is open Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM.

The Center runs a versatile recycle program, accepting cardboard, newspapers, corrugated cardboard, magazines, white office paper, junk mail, tin, #1 and #2 plastic, three colors of glass and clothing. They also take electronic waste and TV’s for a small fee.

Charlie Kourajian, a member of the Jamestown Down Town Associations, stated that, “Recycling is one of the many good things that go on in our community. You don’t make the headlines recycling, but you do have the satisfaction of knowing you are doing your part to help the environment, save natural resources, save valuable landfill space and help keep our city clean.”
