N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Summer is right around the corner, and with it comes the travel season.

The State of North Dakota has announced the return of the Scenic Byways and Backways Program for the year. The North Dakota Tourism Foundation has released a brochure mapping out the 11 different scenic byways and backways throughout the state. Searle Swedlund, Executive Director for the Buffalo City Tourism Foundation in Jamestown, defined the meaning of the program.

Motorcyclists that traverse at least five of the 11 byways and backways will receive a patch from the Tourism Foundation. Brochures are free and can be found at local tourism agencies.
