N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A federal law created in 1914 that established a system of cooperative extension services to inform people of current developments in agriculture, home economics, 4-H and many other related subjects, is 100 years old today.
The Smith-Lever Act, also known as the Agriculture Extension Act, will be celebrated by the NDSU Extension Service in Jamestown. An open house will be held at the Stutsman County Extension Office from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on The Act will be celebrated due to its rules that allow the NDSU Extension Service to operate.
The celebration is open for everyone to attend.
