JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission has issued roughly $8 million dollars to airports across the state to help fund numerous high priority airport projects.

According to Kyle Wanner, Director for the Aeronautics Commission, “The demand for infrastructure due to the tremendous growth North Dakota is experiencing is exponential, and airports are not exception to those demands. Airports are vital to the state’s economic development and provide much needed services for rapidly expanding communities.”

The reports show several airports and their project descriptions as well as costs for each project in the state. The Jamestown Regional Airport has been awarded $241,400 of the grant to be used for crack sealing, the community tee hangars and wetland reduction construction.
