N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dakota Sutton, charged in a fatal hit and run in Sargent County, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, and DUI.

Sutton was accused of running over and killing 28-year old Reavis Dandridge of Oakes on a rural road in April 2013. Sheriff Travis Paeper investigated the death.

In a plea agreement, the murder charge was dropped. Sutton appeared in court in Wahpeton today. The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation. The 23 year old from Brampton, North Dakota could face a maximum of more than 20 years in prison.
