N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Atonement Lutheran Church in Jamestown is trying to raise funds for a week long missions trip to Minneapolis.

Polly Pierce is the Director of Children and Youth Ministries at the church. Pierce stated that they hold many fundraisers to help their cause.

This summer, they will be heading to the cities with another group and both will be participating in “A Week of Hope” from July 22nd through August 1st. Next year, Pierce stated that the group was planning to go with several other churches to Detroit, Michigan for a National Youth Gathering. Roughly 25,000 to 30,000 children are expected to attend.

On May 17th from 8 A.M. to Noon at Atonement Lutheran Church, they will be selling plants, herbs and seeds to raise funds for their planned missions trips.
