N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Otto Bremer Foundation has announced 97 grants totaling $6 Million in several states.

The Otto Bremer Foundation was established to help assist people in achieving economic, civic, and social participation for the betterment of their communities. According to their report, grants were distributed to Wisconsin, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Illinois. The grants will all be used to strengthen a community or organization.

Several grants have been distributed in North Dakota. The city of Lisbon received $25,000 to provide services to victims of domestic violence and assault in the Lisbon area. Another grant to Lisbon totaling $40,000 will go on to help install playground equipment for the Rose Street Park. Grants have also been distributed to Fargo, Minot, Bismarck, Garrison and Casselton.
