CITY, N.D (NewsDakota.com) After rain pushed the entire Leevers Classic to Sunday, Enderlin and LaMoure finished the round robin format with a perfect 2-0 record. 

Enderlin earned their first win of the day taking a 6-2 victory over the Jamestown Blues. The game was close between the two teams until the four run fourth inning that was sparked by Enderlin’s Adam Stenson helping the Railcats pull away. Journ Hamre earned the win on the mound for Enderlin pitching five innings and allowing just two runs. 

In the second match up of the day, it was LaMoure who earned the victory over Jamestown in a 3-0 shutout. While Nolan Kratz pitched a superb game for the Blues, striking out 9 batters and scattering five hits, it was LaMoure who showed the stronger offense.

Jared Meiklejohn got the scoring started for LaMoure with a solo home run in the first inning. He would come around to score once more in the fourth inning on a Parker Stemen RBI single. Stemen would go on to finish the game with two RBI in a 2 for 3 performance at the plate. Brady Warcken earned the win for LaMoure on the mound giving up just three hits, in the complete game shutout. 

In the third game of the day, Enderlin would find themselves in the win column once more taking it to Valley City Post 60 for a 16-4 victory. 

Enderlin was led at the plate by Spencer Gillund who walked his way onto the base paths four times and had a three run home run in the fourth inning.

In the final game, LaMoure fought through seven errors and a 4-2 deficit in the third to claim the final match of the day 11-7 over Valley City. Post 60’s Chase Carpenter had two RBIs in the loss, while his teammates Spencer Meyer, Jesse Johnson, and Austin Berg each tallied one.

LaMoure got a solid outing in the game from Meiklejohn both defensively and offensively. At the dish, he was 3 for 4 with a triple and two doubles. On the other side of the ball, the LaMoure short stop accounted for eight outs in the game.
