N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The community has seen a very mild summer so far.

According to the National Weather Service, Jamestown received approximately 6.36 inches of total rain for the month of June. Rain is in the forecast for the city with a slight chance of showers throughout the day. High winds will begin to taper off today as well. Highs are expected to reach 60 degrees today with the showers to end by midday.

A gradual warm-up will beginning starting Wednesday, July 2nd with highs expected to reach up into the 70’s and continue to rise to 80 degrees by Saturday, July 5th. Thunderstorms are expected to hit the area again by Friday, July 4th.
