N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is notifying the public that the Southeast region of the state will begin conducting an alcohol saturation event July 3rd through the 6th.

Stutsman, Barnes, Cass, Traill and Steele counties will be the focus of the saturation event with extra patrols working overtime in the Southeast over the holiday weekend.

According to the NDHP, about 25 percent of all traffic fatalities victims in North Dakota have been killed to alcohol-related crashes. The goal of the saturation event will be to deter and detect impaired drivers to prevent additional traffic crashes and deaths.
